May 5-7, 2012.
Since everybody’s busy with work, we only had a weekend to spare for our Boracay trip. We stayed at True Home Hotel Station 1, a cute beach-front boutique hotel. Their service is impeccable, I highly recommend it to all you beach lovers out there. It ‘s also steps away from the famous Jonah’s fruit shakes.
Although I hated how crowded and noisy Boracay is, I loved that the locals are so used to seeing people in skimpy swimwear that you wouldn’t hear anyone cat-calling or calling you ‘miss’ and other pathetic stuff. And people don’t mind whatever size you are in, you are free to wear as little as you want.
Lesson learned: to avoid the crowd and noise, go farther up Station 1 next time.

Thank goodness our flight was on time. Kudos to Cebu Pacific!

Touchdown Boracay! Mom bought hats for everyone as we make our way to Obama restaurant for our late lunch.

This is Sabrina from Switzerland.

This is Jo from Austria while reading my English speech and pretending to be moved into tears by the message.

Then Sabrina took us with her for a special dinner pass inside the Buffet Hall where all the crew members dine. As we were eating heartily, chomping on probably the best mashed potato I have ever tasted in my life, Sabrina’s foster family (members are put into ‘families’) and their mother, Charlotte from Germany, invited us to their cabin. We couldn’t believe we were being invited in the cabin! Visitors are not allowed to tour in some places and it includes the cabin. Of course we said yes!
Inside Charlotte’s cabin with her foster children.

Chrissy and Chynna with Katya (rightmost) and Rike (leftmost)

Couldn’t resist asking for a group photo. =)) Of course I wanted a picture with Nathan, his gorgeousness will blind you! Men in Logos Hope are so beautiful. =))) And women as well.

Soon Logos Hope, soon. I promise.
These are the few photos that will always remind me of Logos Hope and the few friends we have made there. We weren’t able to take photos of all the crew members we have befriended but the people here are the ones we spent most of our visits with. I’ve been to Logos Hope four or five times. Yes, that’s how much I loved the ship. Nobody has beaten Florabel’s record though, NINE TIMES.
I am putting “be a volunteer on MV Logos Hope” in my bucket list.

Chillin’ at the I-Cafe (International Cafe). Franz was playing the piano and we were, well, eating. =))

Then, we had a tour around the ship (my fourth by this time) care of Jo (rightmost) from Austria and Enoch (leftmost) from China!

Sorry for the oily, ugly face but Jo was adorable. :”> Hihihi.

At the end of the tour, we asked Enoch to pose with us because he looked so much like this famous YJ member I couldn’t remember. =))

My ability to be ugly when in Logos Hope fascinates me.

Those three weeks of Logos Hope in Manila were full of fun memories. I am convinced that I need (note: NEED) to join in as a volunteer as soon as possible.
February 8 - 11, 2012.
My parents and I stayed at Marina Bay Sands Hotel. No regrets with the bill, the service is insane. Singaporeans are so warm, and not just only in the hotels but also outside, in the streets. Everyone speaks English and they are so easy to approach when you need to ask for directions. Customer satisfaction: LEVEL 99!
All these are photos of the places I’ve been to.

Marina Bay Sands Hotel

The famous infinity pool and lounge area (for hotel guests only)

There were Jacuzzi(s) and pool chairs lined up around the lounge area overlooking the Marina Bay

Sky Park at Marina Bay Sands Hotel (open to the public; entrance fee of SG $20+)

View from the Sky Park

Went to the Art Science Museum. The Titanic (with stuff found in the ruins) exhibit and the Cartier exhibit were open that time. Fee was $28 but 10% off for hotel guests (Marina Bay Sands). Photography wasn’t allowed inside the museum so no photos of the stuff inside but it was great, especially the Titanic exhibit. So touching! :( Instead I took pictures of the surrounding areas. (All within the boundaries of the hotel) These were taken outside the Marina Bay Sands Shoppes and the Art Science Museum.

Singapore is so eco-friendly. There were trees everywhere, and it’s just so clean.
Dad and I went to Sentosa after my “lonely” trip around the hotel. And tried some attractions like Segway, Sky Ride and Luge. Glad my Dad was all up to it, enjoyed it very much.

The next day, we went to Orchard Road. Mom and I literally shopped till we dropped!

Went back to the hotel to leave the stuff then off to Sentosa for Universal Studios.

I think for the whole duration of our stay in Singapore, I did not get more than 6 hours of sleep. LOL, I was out the whole day everyday!
Singapore is a very beautiful place! Straight to my favorite-places-ever list!
